The first ever AEMP Equipment Management LIVE virtual conference will take place June 22-26! 

As a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, AEMP is excited to launch Equipment Management LIVE. This virtual event replaces the 2020 June Leadership Summit which has been rescheduled for June 2021 at the Hyatt Regency in Savannah, GA.

While our preference is to convene the AEMP community face-to-face, the public health of our attendees, partners, speakers, staff and volunteers makes the transition to a virtual summit a safe and responsible action. The AEMP team has exercised creativity and imagination to produce five days of education content and leadership training, from which you can earn five credit hours toward your CEM/ CESP renewal

Additionally, the virtual summit presentations will remain accessible via the AEMP University for 120 days after the live event takes place, allowing you access to the content at your convenience. Part 2 - What is Happening on Capitol Hill?

AEM and AED are powerhouse organizations when it comes to advocating for the constructions industry. Hear from two government relations experts on the status of their individual advocacy efforts, an update on US federal infrastructure policies and COVID-19 relief efforts for businesses.

Part 3 Infrastructure Bill Overview and Update

One big bill project supported by both parties in Congress is the ‘Infrastructure Bill’.  It is anticipated that with new, COVID-19 induced broad-base support, quick passage could occur because of the impending elections.  As stimulating as this may be for many in the industry, we know projects and the required equipment don’t grow up overnight.  The CAPEX will be available now, but the output of new equipment may not necessarily keep pace with demand. Nor will the availability of a skilled workforce.  What does this mean for our industry and what can you do about it?

Do I need to do anything to prepare ahead of time? Any recommendations?

A week prior to the event you will receive an email granting you access to the AEMP University where our event will be featured. We suggest you log in a few minutes early and orient yourself to the platform. In addition, please view these helpful hints below:

Virtual Checklist

  • A computer with an up-to-date operating system
  • A quiet instructional environment with adequate lighting
  • If video-enabled:

o Business attire is recommended

o Avoid patterns and high-contrast pinstripes

o Aim for blues, natural tones, and pastel colors

  • Zoom downloaded on your computer

o EM LIVE will be featured using Zoom video conferencing software. If you don’t have Zoom downloaded already, you can do so here. https://zoom.us/download

How do I log-in?

Immediately after registering you will receive a confirmation email including your log-in credentials. This username and password will be inactive until a week prior to the event. If you have registered within a week of the event or during the event please allow staff time to get your username and password submitted to the webinar platform.

What is the cost to attend?

AEMP is extending a flat $100 registration rate for all members and non-members. This includes live access as well as on-demand access up to 120 days post event. 

How do I receive an invoice?

After registration, you will receive an email with a link to your invoice.

What time zone will the event be in?

All times listed in the event are Eastern Time. We have made considerations in scheduling our programming to serve the needs of our audience as much as possible.

How do I view the speakers and sessions?

You will receive and email a week prior to the event which will grant you access into the AEMP University.

Is there any training or certification planned for this event?

Registrants will receive 5 credit hours for the entire event which can be applied toward CEM/CESP exam candidacy or CEM/CESP renewals.You will be able to download a participation certificate upon completion.

Will live content also be recorded and available after the event?

Yes, all live content will be recorded and available on-demand for 120 days shortly following the live event.  An email will also go out with links to the complete library of content in the days that follow the event.

What is the registration cancellation policy? 

Due to the virtual nature of this event AEMP is not accepting cancellations, refunds or substitutions at this time. Will there be a Leadership Summit in 2021?

Yes! We have postponed our 2020 Leadership Summit and plan to host our in-person event in Savannah, GA at the Hyatt Regency Savannah June 28-29, 2021, taking all of the necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety of our attendees.
