Certified Equipment Support Professional

The Certified Equipment Support Professional (CESP) designation is the premiere professional credential for suppliers of off-road heavy equipment fleets or municipal government fleets. Equipment suppliers with five years or more of experience who meet the CESP prerequisites may apply by completing the CESP application.

Areas of Competency Tested
An individual who has earned the CESP designation possesses a depth of understanding of fleet management skills and demonstrates the ability to interact on a professional level with all fleet-related professionals. They have demonstrated mastery of the following competencies deemed essential to the equipment management profession:

Financial Management
Procurement & Acquisitions
Risk Management
Warranty & Performance Guarantees

Life Cycle Cost Analysis
Information Technology

Employee Training
Human Resources

Parts Management
Preventive Maintenance
Shop & Facility Management

Customer Service

Applicants for the examination must meet the criteria outlined in the CESP application. The CESP exam is available twice annually in conjunction with AEMP conferences and on-demand via computer-based testing at approved test centers.
