CEM/CESP Renewal

Renew Your CEM/CESP Certification

Your CEM/CESP designation is valid for five years. To keep your designation current and in good standing, you must complete 40 hours of continuing education during these five years to avoid a lapse in your certification.

Maintaining your CEM or CESP designations over time requires a continued dedication to lifelong learning and AEMP's ethical standards. AEMP provides continuing education (CE) through our conferences and our online Continuing Education subscription.

We recommend you attend AEMP’s professional development conferences to earn 12-15 CE credits. You can earn up to 15 CE credits by attending AEMP’s CONNECT: Management Conference and Annual Meeting in March and up to 12 CE credits by attending AEMP’s EquipmentSHIFT conference in October.  To attend one of our upcoming conferences click hereEngagement and active participation, like speaking at a conference or authoring industry articles can also earn credit towards your renewal. If you'd like to get involved as a member, volunteer, writer, or presenter, please email info@aemp.orgWe also accept other industry-related education/training in the 17 competency areas. Supporting documentation and proof are required and are subject to review by AEMP Staff. Details describing qualified training/education are provided on the renewal application and in the larger table at the bottom of this page.
