People in the Chicago area are very familiar with the red and white candy-striped concrete mixer trucks that belong to the Ozinga Bros. construction material company. Established in 1928, Ozinga was recently named one of Chicago's Top Ten employers to work for by Crains Chicago Business.
However, like construction companies nationwide, finding skilled workers who want a career in construction has been a challenge for Ozinga. So they took a terrific approach to recruiting.
Ozinga's new campaign is called 'Trade Up - Join the Stripes' , which features actual Ozinga employees taking a pretty darn funny approach showing how working in construction can be an excellent career choice.

Four of Ozinga's videos can be found on their website at https://www.ozinga.com/careers/.
Ozinga's president, Marty Ozinga, says the Trade Up campaign is part a challenge for people to take a chance on something new, and part homage to American workers. Ozinga said, "We need to demonstrate to young people that American construction and manufacturing jobs are not just an option, but a lucrative and fulfilling career."
AEMP is committed to helping the construction industry and equipment management professionals find the people needed to fill these vital roles in our economy. We salute creative efforts like this one to help fill these workforce shortages.
