EMS is dedicated to employing experienced professionals like its Corporate Equipment Manager, Theresa F. Anderson, who are skilled in a range of construction, integrity, and operations and maintenance services.

As Corporate Equipment Manager, Anderson wears a lot of hats including, overseeing preventative maintenance on equipment, evaluating repairs and accidents, implementing national accounts, developing enhancement changes, creating telematics solutions and overseeing the company’s DOT compliances and training. With her enthusiastic work ethic, thirst for knowledge and a drive to continually advance in the industry, it comes at no surprise to past and present colleagues of Anderson that she was the first woman to earn AEMP’s Certified Equipment Manager certification in 2002.

“I was initially encouraged to take the CEM certification by a mentor of mine,” Anderson said. “He saw it as a way to gain knowledge and further advance myself into the industry. He couldn’t have been more right. The benefits have been tenfold in not only providing me with a breadth of industry knowledge, but also in my networking. Since receiving my CEM, I’ve even been honored to be a past AEMP board vice president, chair of the CEM Certification Commission and to participate in development of the current EMS and CESP exams.”

Anderson has been a member of AEMP going on ten years, and says becoming a CEM was one of the most beneficial things she has done for her career. She continues to learn from – as well as teach – other members of AEMP, helps with AEMP trainings and conferences, and is constantly expanding her industry skills and knowledge.
