Equipment Manager Specialist

The Equipment Management Specialist designation is a recognized standard for developing the qualifications of a person involved with equipment in a private, municipal, or government fleet within the first five (5) years of career development. This designation serves as a goal for individuals who want to obtain the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to become a Certified Equipment Manager.

The EMS program is available entirely online—from the reading to the courses to the exam. EMS hopefuls must first complete an application.  Candidates must then study the Career Equipment Fleet Manager manual (online or hard copy) and take the EMS exam.  Candidates are strongly encouraged to participate in Level 1 Online Courses before taking the EMS exam.
